HOUSING SERVICE

LEGAL ASSISTANCE
Amongst the usual consultancy services to be expected, the service also includes invaluable information about renting accommodation in Rome - the rights and obligations of you and the owner and which dangers to be aware of.

NOTARY SERVICE
Flaminia Cantamaglia, Esquire Notary Public in Rome, Fluent in English and French. The Firm is involved mainly in real estate transactions, hereditary law, corporate law and commercial transactions and all other kind of commercial and financial practice. The Firm also specializes in Estate law and drafting and filing of Estate Tax returns. We assist the Client in drawing contracts for transfer of property, mortgages, last wills and testament. The Firm also works since long time with FAO, WFP and other international organizations.

FISCAL ADVISE
Assistance in all fields of business consulting, tax, accounting and corporate. Preparation of financial statements, accounting and preparation of tax returns, taxes on land and buildings, both for companies, professional and private clients.

INPS, ID DOCUMENTS & IMMIGRATION SERVICES
The FAO Staff Coop, in collaboration with an Agency assists staff members in obtaining identity papers, citizenship and residence permits. Staff members are also assisted with the salary calculations for private domestic help, (i.e. according to how many hours worked per week/month and the respective payment, it is possible to have the official calculations for insurance coverage, 13th and 14th month's salary, holiday entitlements, liquidation etc.).
Assistance is also provided to staff members who wish to obtain information on the Italian Pension Scheme (compilation and presentation of the pension requests) or obtain SPID, Digital signature and PEC.

G.A.D.O.I. Medical Insurance
In collaboration with G.A.D.O.I. (a non-profit making Association, set up in 1996 by a group of friends/colleagues at FAO, and legally registered at the Roman law court), advantageous group policies are offered to staff members and their families.

AUTOMOBILE CLUB D'ITALIA (ACI) - DELEGAZIONE SAN LORENZO
The Automobile Club d'Italia (ACI) - Delegazione San Lorenzo, offer various car-related services at favorable prices for our members.
Consultants are available in Room E014 on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 12:00 (please contact ext. 53142).
DRY CLEANING SERVICE
Dry cleaning service is available in the room E020 (FAO) - every Tuesday from 13:30 to 16:00 hrs
FAO Staff Coop members with a valid membership card will receive a 10% discount.
The prices indicated may be subject to variations due to any particularities of the garment (pleating, leather inserts, washing for fine fibres).
We would also like to inform you that the promotion for FAO Staff Coop members is also valid at our dry cleaning shop in Via di Villa Bonelli 24 at the same conditions.
TAILORING - GARMENT REPAIR SERVICE
Garment repair service, provided by "Non Solo Orli",available in FAO, Room E020 on Mondays from 13:45 to 15:30
All kinds of alterations to woolens, leather and fur articles. Also household items, such as curtains, covers and table-cloths can be made to measure. In addition to this, made-to-measure shirts with initials can be ordered at special prices. (Price list available)

LIBRARY
The Library is run by about 20 volunteers and counts approximately 14,000 volumes in English, French, Spanish and Italian.
Also available a choice of books for children varying from the very young ones to the young adults.
The Library is open to everyone with a contract longer than 3 months, working for FAO, WFP, IFAD and UNOPS. The Library is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11.30 to 14.00 hours in Room. E.008 (extn. 53479).

Located on the ground floor of Building E (next to the coffee machines, before the sliding doors to access to the FAO Coop Office). Available H 24.
