Discreet entrance in one of two adjoined palazzetti dated 1467 by the Italian Ministry of Cultural Affairs. They have a prestigious history, having belonged directly to a Pope, as proven by certified papers. They belonged to Lucrezia Borgia’s mother!

The frescoes on the façade, masterpieces by Polidoro da Caravaggio, who worked with Raphael at the Vatican’s Loggias, depict scenes of Roman history. The second palazzetto features a Moor King, owner of a famous inn, in sgraffiato. Both façades have been thoroughly restored by the private owners, under the tutelage of the Italian Ministry of Fine Arts. Polidoro da Caravaggio’s drawings and other masterpieces are exposed at the Louvre Museum in Paris, at London’s National Gallery and are part of the British Royal Collection.
